Class Overview
Little Ninjas 4-8 years
We all learn better when we enjoy what we are doing, therefore our Little Ninja classes are based around this principle. Classes consist of basic Karate techniques, along with games designed to teach the children the importance of listening, improving balance, timing, coordination, confidence-building, self discipline and staying active.
These classes focus on developing important skills in a stress-free environment. Therefore the children have the opportunity to move through the Ninja Levels if they wish to do so, rather than grading for belts at this stage.
Samurai 8-12 years
This class is for slightly older children who are wanting to really focus on learning Karate. Children will start to do more partner work and have the opportunity to begin grading for belts in this class. The aim is for children to grow in confidence and build strong Karate foundations that will help to prepare them for the move up to the teenage / adult class. Older Samurai members have the opportunity to upgrade their membership to train in the Teenager/Adult class to help aid the transition.

How many karate lessons does it take to pass a belt?
Grading through the Ninja Levels is optional. Children have the opportunity to move through the Ninja Levels if they wish to do so, and when the instructor deems them ready. Belts mainly start in the older classes and usually take between 3 – 6 months.
“Over the years I’ve known Dave Shaw I’ve watched his karate develop and grow. lt’s progressive, highly effective and honest. He always has his students best interest at heart. Always moving forward, always willing to learn, always ready to help. A great training partner and instructor”
