Inclusive Karate for those with disabilities

 In addition to our own inclusive Monday night classes at the Joseph Stone Centre (class details below), we also work with organisations teaching Karate for people with disabilities. We visit the premises running sessions to help improve balance, movement, coordination and confidence. If you are a charity or business and would like to work with use, get in touch for further details.

Class Overview

Inclusive Karate for those with disabilities. Sessions focus on movement, coordination, balance and confidence, all whilst having a great time.

Lessons Include:

The karate lessons generally consists of the following:

  • Light warm up
  • Stretches
  • Karate techniques
  • Pad work
  • Fun games / activities
  • Cool down

Fees

Karate lessons are 45 minutes

  • Once a week £55/month
  • There is a small annual (once a year) license/membership fee

Who can do Karate?

Karate is for all ages and abilities and can mean different things to different people. Some practice for self-defence, others for fitness or the social aspect of training with other people. Karate for those with disabilities mainly focuses on movement and coordination.
